Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina made her debut with humorous hip-hop tracks that addressed sexuality and racial identities with a the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to broadening her reach to Hollywood. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came through the trumpet. Following her Jazz and classical training her interest in hip-hop grew in her teen years. When she was in high school, she concentrated on the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She was also a student of Mandarin for a while in Beijing. However, it wasn't until she graduated that she turned her attention towards music. The track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in the year 2012. The track was later included in her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also included other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in 2015, which was an additional idea. After a successful career as a musician and songwriter, she chose to assume the role of actor. Alongside early TV shows that included Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in movies Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she got a series of notable performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she released In Fina We Trust.
