Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in the year 1980. Bell is a Michigan native born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen is of Polish descent (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen was already a skilled entertainer at an early stage. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell's mother established her with an agent when she was 13, and she was subsequently cast for television and newspaper commercials. In addition, Bell started taking acting lessons privately. Bell played an uncredited character in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a member of the Drama and Music Club of Shrine Catholic High School. The school's production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was cast as Dorothy. Bell studied music theatre in the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell dropped out of school in 2001 to take on the character of Becky of Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang However, the scene where she played the role was removed. This meant that the credit sequence is all that exists. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
