Jill Hennessy

This resident from Edmonton, Alberta has a diverse ancestry spanning Irish, Italian, Swedish, French and Ukranian. Jacqueline is her twin sister, and is an actor. Jill was proficient in a variety of languages throughout her childhood. These were Italian, French, and Spanish. At twelve, she became interested in acting. Her acting career began in Toronto when she played an assistant for David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her younger sister. Later, she took improv classes at Second City under Deb Kimmet. After that, she was transferred into New York two years later and was offered a contract to be the character of Detective Assistant Claire Kincaid in the hit show that has been running for a long time Law & Order. She also worked in films like RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) during her three-year run. The next few years she had a chance to appear in a number of forgettable movies, but in 1999 she was offered a leading role on the television miniseries uremberg opposite Alec Baldwin. Roles in major productions like Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. In 2001, she was offered the lead role in the crime show on NBC Crossing Jordan and in 2007 she took home the Gracie Allen award as "Outstanding Female lead in the drama Series" for her work on the show. In 2000, she was married to the actor who played her Paolo Mastropietro. They have two children together. In 2007, she was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2007. Jill Jill Jill Jill Jill
